About Us

Hoops and Dreams was birthed from my personal journey of discovering basketball at the age of five. Basketball provided an opportunity for me to unlock doors that were not originally within my reach. My aspiration is for Hoops and Dreams to be a haven for people across the world. A space for individuals to share their fears, challenges and successes encountered on their journey to achieving their DREAMS. My hope is that this platform allows us to discover our gifts and talents while recognizing our hurdles to become LEGENDARY in all walks of life. Hoops and Dreams will provide scholarships and create an environment for all athletes (past/present) to flourish. This is bigger than a podcast or clothing line. Hoops and Dreams is a community striving to "Be Legendary"

When I was asked to be a co-partner of Hoops and Dreams, it is the "Be Legendary" part of the brand that resonated with me. I am from an ordinary little town in Florida called Fort Myers. I played sports, and was pretty good. Although I enjoyed sports and used it as an outlet and escape, I didn't quite make the connection between sports, education and unlimited possibilities until much later in life. I went to a local college, but did not earn my degree. I went into accounting and grew my career to include Real estate investments, Human Resource Management, as well as Operations. I have been involved in all aspects of business for over 20 years. My path was not ideal, but I worked hard, made smart investments and have had a lot of success, as a result. Fort Myers, although ordinary, has produced some talented people: Dion Sanders, the late Mindy McCready, "Plies"  and Javon Kearse , just to name a few. My success is not quite on that level (YET) but we are all proof that the ordinary can become extraordinary when dreams, hard work and opportunity collide! Those are the kinds of stories and people we want this brand to impact and represent. This is more than a brand - it's a village; a community. Come and be a part!
